Frequently Asked Questions
Like a lot of different species, even within Trouts, there are a few different types – but the most popular (and tasty if you ask us!) variety has been these beauties with a rainbow coloured stripe on each flank. Well, that’s where they get their name from.
Zarin’s trouts are all sourced from our culturing farms in the valleys of Kashmir. One of the key reasons we chose to go this way was because cultured trout are among the safest fish to consume – and our farms allow us to exercise industry-standard-exceeding quality control on what we deliver in each batch. So when we say “nothing but the best”, we actually mean it!
With soft and flaky meat that has a mildly nutty flavour that is absolutely delicious, the Himalayan Rainbow Trout is closely related to salmon and also high in nutrients. This fish can be used in endless recipes and cuisines and if you get a chance to try it out, you certainly must!
(P.S. Reach out to us if you’d like to find one of our partners in your city!)
Absolutely! While we recommend speaking to a certified nutritionist or doctor for personal requirements and body-types, in general, trout is a very healthy alternative to most other fish in the market. With omega-3 fatty acids, amino acids and much more, if (personally) your health allows you to, Zarin recommends switching to the Himalayan Rainbow Trout today!
At Zarin we believe that our processes followed are here to create a wave of renewed understanding, awareness and acquisition of Trout-lovers: in our country and around the world. However, at the moment, we are partnering up with Seafood and F&B establishments only. But hey… the day we begin catering directly to our end-consumers, we promise we’ll let you know!
